St Mary's Church, Dennington, Suffolk, England

Dennington is a sleepy Suffolk town and at the centre is this wonderful church.

At the centre of the church is the grave of

John Harsant who was born before 1531 to John Harsant and Margerya. He was a farmer who owned his land and when he died in 1568 he was buried here.

His wife Elizabeth who was born before 1525 and died in 1585 was also buried with him.

Over time the grave and any stone or marking has worn away but at sometime a plaque was made and put into place below the grave to mark who is buried there. For this I give thanks as without it the grave would remain a mystery.
